Managing your subscription

Updating a card, cancelling, or coming back — all of it happens through Gumroad, who handle the billing for Frankly.

Where your management link lives

Gumroad gives every customer their own private link for managing their subscription. There's no shared address I can send you to, and Frankly can't open it for you — it's tied to your purchase, not to your licence key.

Your link is in the receipt email Gumroad sent when you subscribed.

Search your inbox for Frankly or Gumroad. The email contains your licence key and a link labelled something like "Manage your subscription".

That link lets you update your payment method, view your billing history, and cancel. It stays valid for as long as your subscription exists.

If you can't find the email

  1. Check spam and promotions — Gumroad receipts often land there.
  2. Go to gumroad.com/library and sign in with the email address you used to subscribe. Your purchases are listed there.
  3. Still stuck? Email me and I'll help you track it down.

What happens when you cancel

Frankly keeps working until the end of the period you've already paid for. After that, translations stop and the extension will tell you the subscription has ended.

Nothing is deleted from your side — your glossary stays saved in your browser, waiting, in case you come back.

Coming back later

If you subscribe again after cancelling, Gumroad treats it as a new purchase and issues a new licence key. The old one stops working permanently.

Open the Frankly popup, paste the new key where the old one was, and hit Activate. Your glossary will still be there.

If a payment fails

Gumroad retries a failed charge a few times before ending the subscription. If you update your card during that window, the same subscription resumes and your existing key keeps working — there's nothing to reactivate.

Only a subscription that ends completely requires a fresh key.
